It is important to note that the BMI calculator for teens and children is different from the one used for adults. Although it is based on weight and height but it also considers gender and age. This is because female and male height and weight fluctuate during growth and growth. For young children, BMI is expressed as percentiles when compared to other children similar in age and gender.

The path to better health

If your BMI indicates that you're obese or overweight, you can reduce the BMI through losing weight. It can be accomplished by following the standard weight loss tips like:

  • Healthy eating. Choose lean meats and fruits, vegetables, as well as whole grain. Cut down on alcohol, sugar, refined foods, sodas, and juices. Consume fewer calories.
